Vietnamese, Russian Communist Parties seek to boost ties

A delegation from the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by To Huy Rua, Politburo member and Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and Head of its Commission for Organisation has held talks with its counterpart from the Communist Party of Russian Federation in Moscow.

Briefing each other on the current situation ineach country, the two sides discussed measures to enhance the efficiencyof cooperation between the two parties through the exchange ofdelegations and information and experience sharing, especially in partybuilding and organising.

Chairman of the CommunistParty of Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov, who led the delegation tothe talks on October 23, affirmed that his party fully supportsPresident Vladimir Putin, the government and parliament’s policy ofstrengthening comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam , particularlyin electricity, nuclear power and oil and gas.

Heasserted that his party will spare no effort to the implementation ofthe signed agreements, deepening the Vietnam-Russia strategiccomprehensive partnership.-VNA
