Vietnamese ST25 rice used in Japanese Cabinet Office lunch

Hanoi (VNA) – For the first time, Vietnam'sST25 rice has been used to process dishes on the menu of the Japanese CabinetOffice, Minister of Agricultural and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan has said atthe recent government meeting.

On September 2, fried rice using ST25 rice from Vietnambecame a "special lunch" at the Japanese Cabinet Office.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh held that thisis a good sign and a step forwards in the country’s strategy to bringVietnamese rice to demanding markets.

Vietnam’s ST25 rice won the title "The best rice in theworld" in 2019.

In the brochure located at the Cabinet Office of Japan, theST25 fragrant rice is famous delicious rice from Vietnam and fully introducedfrom planting, quality monitoring, harvesting, packaging and preservation. Theproduction processes are strictly controlled to ensure the quality of fragrantand firm rice grains, and naturally sweet rice grains, it said.

ST25 rice can be used in dishes such as grilled chicken riceand fried rice, a harmonious combination of Vietnam's agricultural products andJapanese cuisine, according to Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Japan Ta Duc Minh./.
