Vietnamese swimmer continue to shine at World Para Championships

Vietnamese swimmer Trinh Thi Bich Nhu won another silver medal on December 7, the last competition day of the World Para Swimming Championships 2017 in Mexico City.

Mexico City (VNA) – Vietnamese swimmer Trinh Thi Bich Nhu wonanother silver medal on December 7, the last competition day of the World ParaSwimming Championships 2017 in Mexico City.

Nhu defended her silver medal in the women’s 50 metre freestyle, clocking atime of 38.05s. Earlier, she also won a silver medal in the women’s 100 metrebreaststroke.

Finishing the championships, Vietnamese swimmers brought home six medals,including four silvers contributed by Nhu and Vo Thanh Tung, and two bronzes byDo Thanh Hai and Vo Thanh Tung.

The World Para Swimming Championships 2017 in Mexico City, Mexico drew theparticipation of athletes from 57 countries worldwide. Vietnam sent fivecompetitors: Vo Thanh Tung, Nguyen Thanh Trung, Tran Quoc Phi, Trinh Thi BichNhu and Do Thanh Hai.-VNA
