Nguyen Thi Anh Vien on June 8 set three new records at the ongoing 38th Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Championships in Singapore.
The Vietnamese swimmer set new bars in the girls' 16-18-year-old 800m freestyle, 200m butterfly and 50m backstroke events.
Vien, who has just finished her training in the US, has now set nine records at the tournament.
The other victories were in the 200m medley, 400m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 100m backstroke and 400m medley.
Meanwhile, her teammate, Tran Nguyen Diep Phuong, also broke a record in the girls' 13 and under 50m freestyle category on June 8.
Earlier, Tran Thi Cam Hong set her own record in the girls' 13 and under 800m freestyle pool competition.-VNA
