Vietnamese, Uzbek procuracies reinforce ties

The future collaboration in combating cross-border crimes and terrorists will be as important as cooperation in staff training and information sharing, the Supreme People’s Procuracy of Vietnam and the General Procuracy of Uzbekistan have agreed.

The two agencies signed a memorandum of understanding on their future cooperation in Hanoi on August 12 during the visit to Vietnam by Deputy Director of the Uzbek General Procuracy Khalimov Khakimbai Ashirovich, at the invitation of Prosecutor General Truong Hoa Binh.

The cooperation will be based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefits while conforming to each country’s laws as well as international commitments jointly pledged by both sides.

Earlier, at his talks with Deputy Prosecutor General of the Vietnamese Supreme People’s Procuracy Tran Cong Phan, Deputy Director Khalimov Khakimbai Ashirovich said he wishes the two agencies will continue to boost comprehensive cooperation in the field.

The two sides agreed upon cooperation orientations in the procuracy sector to contribute to increasing the friendship between the two countries further.-VNA
