Hanoi (VNA) - A Vietnam-Japan Friendship Concert, themed‘Spring of Music and Friendship’, will take place at the L’Espace Centre in Hanoion March 20.

The event, whichforms part of the third Vietnam-Japan Piano Festival 2019, is co-held by theJapanese Embassy in Vietnam, the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association and theAssociation for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese.

The concert will bedirected by Japanese pianist Ayuko Higuchi, who organised several concertsand performances in many cities in Vietnam from 2004 to 2016, such as Hanoi,Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh.

It will also featurethe participation of artist Shion Ota, one of the most promising artists inJapan.

In addition,talented young Vietnamese pianists Nguyen Ba Tan and Quach Hoang Nhi willjoin the special concert.

At the event,artists will entertain the audiences with famous contemporary and folk songs ofVietnam, Japan and many other countries in the world.

The concert isexpected to contribute to enhancing cultural exchanges between Vietnam andJapan as well as boosting mutual understanding between their people.-VNA
