The Vietnam-Japan Institute of Language and Human Resources Training has opened in the southern province of Binh Duong.

The institute aims to develop training programmes and offer Japanese language courses at various levels, Institute Director Huynh Van Trong said.

It provides training consultancy services, promotes student and teacher exchanges between Vietnamese and Japanese schools, organises Japanese-language educational events and undertakes Japanese language and science and technology research.

The Institute was originally the Japanese Language Training and Researching Centre. After two years of operation, the centre provided Japanese language courses for more than 2,000 students. It organised seminars with Japanese partners and promoted cooperative relationship with Japanese schools and institutions.

Binh Duong has so far attracted 176 Japanese-invested projects, with a total investment of 3.1 billion USD - accounting for one-sixth of the province’s total foreign direct investment (FDI)./.VNA
