Six Vietnamese enterprises are taking part in the three-day Singapore Gifts and Premiums Fair 2015 from July 29.
According to Trade Counsellor at the Vietnamese Embassy Nguyen Viet Chi, the companies have played an active part in researching the host country’s market demand and features.
The Vietnam Embassy in Singapore’s Commercial Affairs Office has helped Vietnamese firms export handicrafts to the island nation apart from traditional products such as agricultural produce and apparel, Chi said.
The show gathers businesses from 32 countries and territories including Malaysia, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea and China.
Trade between the two countries has seen an average growth rate of 12 percent annually with Vietnam’s export turnover to Singapore reaching 4 billion SGD (2.9 billion USD).
In early 2015, Vietnam became one of the 10 biggest trade partners of Singapore for the first time.-VNA
