Vietnam’s front leader extends sympathy to Cuba over hurricane Irma

Hanoi (VNA) – President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Tran Thanh Man sent a message of sympathy to Carlos Rafael Miranda Martinez, President of the Cuban Committee for the Defence of the Revolution over losses caused by the devastating hurricane Irma.

The disaster, the strongest hurricane recorded in the Atlantic Ocean, ravaged Havana capital and all Cuban localities, leaving many people missing and injured, while affecting the infrastructure and property of the State and people of Cuba.

Earlier on September 11, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Tran Dai Quang and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also extended their sympathy to Raul Castro Ruz – First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee, President of the Council of State and President of the Council of Ministers of Cuba over the disaster in the Caribbean country.-VNA
