Vietnamese Embassy staff and overseas Vietnamese in Russia visited and presented gifts to disabled and orphan Russian children at special childcare school No. 7 in Gagarin district, Moscow on June 1 on the occasion of the International Children’s Day.
The delegation, joined by representatives from the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Russia (AOVR), the Voice of the Heart Foundation (VHF), the Moscow Association of War Veterans, the United Russian Party and authorities of Gagarin district granted teaching aids, miniature home and infrastructure models to the school, which are expected to improve children’s living skills.
Established in 2009, the VFH has called on the Vietnamese and Russian firms, individuals and organisations to provide financial assistance for Russian unfortunate kids.
Earlier on May 31, the AOVR and VHF held a Vietnamese children’s festival at residential area No. 7 for Vietnamese diplomatic corps in Simferopol street , southwestern Moscow .
The area has been home to nearly 40 Vietnamese households over the past 10 years.-VNA
