Vietnam’s National Assembly promotes ties with Italian parliament

Rome (VNA) – A delegation from the National Assembly (NA) Office, led by Deputy Head of the Office Pham Dinh Toan, visited Italy from September 21-24 to enhance cooperative relations with the Italian parliament.

During their stay, the delegation had working session with Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Marina Sereni and Chairman of the Commission for Constitutional Affairs of the Chamber Andrea Mazziotti di Celso.

At the meeting, the two sides informed each other about economic and politic situation in their respective countries and shared experience in lawmaking and supervision.

Marina Sereni lauded the delegation’s visit, saying that cooperation between support agencies of the two legislation bodies will push the bilateral relations. She said that Italy is willing to support Vietnam in parliamentary activities.

The two sides agreed to enhance exchange of delegations at all levels to enhance the quality of collaboration between the two parliaments.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese delegation also studied the organisational structure and operation of support agencies of the Italian Parliament.-VNA
