World junior No 14 Ly Hoang Nam has been seeded No 7 at the 56 o Trofeo Bonfiglio's boys' singles, which will be played May 18-24 in Milan, Italy.
He will compete against rivals in the world junior top 10, including Luz Orlando (Brazil, No 2), Taylor Fritz (US, No 3), Akira Santillan (Japan, No 8), and Yongseong Chung (the Republic of Korea, No 9).
The Vietnamese star will also play in the boys' doubles category, as he pairs with regular partner Alberto Lim of the Philippines.
Recently, the duo won titles, including a gold medal at the 25th Sarawak Chief Minister's Cup in March and another at the Asian Closed Junior Championship last month.
The 56 o Trofeo Bonfiglio is of the Grade A leveler of the International Tennis Federation, in which players compete on clay court.
After Milan, Nam will fly to Sweden to practise for a short time before taking part in a competition for juniors at the second Grand Slam of the year, the French Open in Paris.
