Real Admiral Pham Ngoc Minh, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, made the remark at a May 5 reception for a visiting delegation from the US’ National Defence University led by General Michael PC Carns.
He said the two countries have shared ways to boost peace and stability in the region and the world at large, on the basis of equality, mutual respect and trust building through multilateral cooperation forums.
The US officials expressed their hope that Vietnam will share its experience in organising the army and measures to further the bilateral defence ties.-VNA
