Village elders play key role in elections in border areas

In remote border villages of the central province of Ha Tinh, home to the Chut ethnic minority, each election is not only the exercise of a civic right but also a major community event. In these still-challenging areas, village elders, heads and other respected figures play a pivotal role in bringing the Party’s guidelines and the State’s policies and laws closer to the people.
