Vinh Phuc: revenue from electricity, electronics support firms increases 8%

Businesses operating in the spheres of electricity and electronics support industry in the northern province of Vinh Phuc raked in nearly 2.6 billion USD in the first nine months of this year, up 8 percent year-on-year.

Vinh Phuc (VNA) – Businesses operating in the spheres of electricityand electronics support industry in the northern province of Vinh Phuc raked innearly 2.6 billion USD in the first nine months of this year, up 8 percentyear-on-year.

According to the provincial management board of industrial parks, theseenterprises generated a combined export value of about 2.2 billion USD duringthe period, a year-on-year rise of 5 percent.

They contributed more than 900 billion VND (38.7 million USD) to the Statebudget, representing a hike of 10 percent compared with the corresponding timelast ear.

These firms are also creating jobs for nearly 50,000 labourers, the board said.

The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of the province reached 62.15trillion VND (2.67 billion USD) in the nine months, up 8.63 percentyear-on-year.

The industrialsector continued to prove its important role in the provincial socio-economicdevelopment, with a growth rate of over 13 percent, contributing 6.2 percentagepoints to the local growth./.
