Tourist arrivals in the northern midland province of Vinh Phuc increased during the recent National Day holiday, despite the impact of the fourth tropical storm that hit the country so far this year.

Vinh Phuc (VNA) – Tourist arrivals in thenorthern midland province of Vinh Phuc increased during the recent National Dayholiday, despite the impact of the fourth tropical storm that hit the countryso far this year.

Tourism and resort areas such as Tam Dao, Dai Lai, FlamingoDai Lai, FLC Vinh Thinh, and Song Hong Thu Do were fully occupied many days beforethe start of the three-day holiday on August 31.

According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sportsand Tourism, local hotels, restaurants and lodging facilities welcomed 85,600visitors from August 31 – September 2, up 10 percent annually, nearly 17,500 ofthem foreigners. The province earned over 30 billion VND (1.3 million USD) inrevenue from tourism.

Crowded as it was, there were no reports on overchargingphenomenon, and most of the tourists said they were satisfied with thefacilities and service quality.

Bordering Hanoicapital city, Vinh Phuc has become an ideal destination for short holidays.-VNA
