Vinh Phuc (VNA) – Tourist arrivals in the northern midland province of Vinh Phuc increased during the recent National Day holiday, despite the impact of the fourth tropical storm that hit the country so far this year.
Tourism and resort areas such as Tam Dao, Dai Lai, Flamingo Dai Lai, FLC Vinh Thinh, and Song Hong Thu Do were fully occupied many days before the start of the three-day holiday on August 31.
According to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, local hotels, restaurants and lodging facilities welcomed 85,600 visitors from August 31 – September 2, up 10 percent annually, nearly 17,500 of them foreigners. The province earned over 30 billion VND (1.3 million USD) in revenue from tourism.
Crowded as it was, there were no reports on overcharging phenomenon, and most of the tourists said they were satisfied with the facilities and service quality.
