Vietnam Airlines on Feb. 4 announced that it would increase domestic flights during the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday this year.

The national flag carrier will have a total of 136 flights on the Hanoi-HCM City and HCM City-Da Nang route during the peak period from Feb. 5 to Feb. 28, using Airbus A321 (212 seats) planes.

According to the plan, the Hanoi-HCM City-Hanoi route will be increased to four flights a day, which is equal to 19,500 seats for the entire peak period, a rise of 50 percent over normal days.

The HCM City-Da Nang-HCM City route will see two flights per day, which is equal to 9,300 seats, for the period. The total number of seats will rise by 68 percent compared with normal days./.
