A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam attended the 20 th international communist seminar, held in the Belgian capital city of Brussels from May 13-15.
Themed “Strengthening the role of communist parties in times of a deepening capitalist systemic crisis”, the event was hosted by the Workers’ Party of Belgium and attracted representatives of 53 communist and workers’ parties from 50 countries across the world.
At the event, the delegates exchanged information on the international situation, parties, and progressive forces’ fight in each country and the world.
The seminar also adopted a joint statement, which affirms that parties should reform their mode of organisation and operation to gather all working classes in the fight for peace, national independence, social welfare, democracy and social progress.
The statement also calls on increasing solidarity and closer coordination between communist parties./.
