Deputy Prime MinisterHoang Trung Hai made the remark while receiving a visiting delegation ofmayors of Finnish cities and provinces in Hanoi on Oct. 20.
DeputyPM Hai expressed his hope that Finnish regions would find cooperativeopportunities with Vietnamese partners, especially in labourcooperation.
He also said he hoped that Finnish localities wouldincrease the number of scholarships for Vietnamese students and createmore favourable conditions for them to study in Finland .
Headof the delegation, Peltola Asko Antero, Mayor of South Ostrobothniaand President of the Council of Mayors of Finland, spoke highly of theVietnamese Government’s efforts in economic development managementduring ongoing global economic crises.
He said that thedelegation’s members, as mayors of Finnish localities, would createfavourable conditions and encourage their enterprises to invest inVietnam .
He informed the host that during the visit, whichbegan on Oct. 16, the delegation worked with some ministries andagencies and visited Hanoi, Hai Phong and Quang Ninh to seek cooperativeopportunities in trade, investment, education and training, andlabour./.
