The Vietnam-China Women Entrepreneurs friendship exchange took place in Beijing on Nov. 29 with the participation of more than 100 delegates.
The get-together, the second of its kind, was initiated and organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in China to boost mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries’ women and traditional friendship between the two peoples.
President of the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC) Tran Thi Thuy said China is one of Vietnam’s leading trade partners and biggest importer and ranks third in Vietnam’s export markets, after the US and Japan.
Two-way trade this year has so far exceeded 28 billion USD, a year-on-year rise of 40 percent, with positive signs recorded in preferential credits investment.
Thuy affirmed that the council will coordinate with relevant agencies to act as a bridge to help the two countries’ women entrepreneurs and the business community to meet and exchange experiences to promote economic and trade cooperation, investment and scientific and technological transfer.
Sharing the same view, Vice President of the China Association of Women Entrepreneurs (CAWE) Long Jiangwen affirmed that CAWE and VWEC will promote closer ties and bring into play their active role in accelerating socio-economic development in their respective countries and the comprehensive friendly cooperation between Vietnamese and Chinese women and people./.
