The eighth Vietnam-France meeting on decentralised cooperation will takeplace in the northern port city of Hai Phong from November 4-7.
At the event, over 300 French and Vietnamese representatives willdiscuss and share experiences in the environment of decentralisedcooperation, actions for sustainable development, training, publicservice and heritage culture.
In addition, therepresentatives will sign six new agreements to promote decentralisedcooperation. Musical performances, galas and exhibitions showcasingimages of localities of the two countries will also be held.
Firstly launched in late 1980s, the meeting makes positivecontributions to the socio-economic development of the two countries’localities.
At present, 52 French localities arepartnering with 54 cities and provinces of Vietnam in the fields ofculture, education, training, healthcare and urban planning./.
