Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum Chu Duc Tinh and Department Manager of the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum of Laos Suvandi Sisavath on August 23 signed a cooperative agreement on for the 2012-2013 period.
Under the agreement, the two sides will continue to work together in upgrading the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum as well as in deploying a project to build a memorial site dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh in Khammuoan province in Laos .
The project is expected to be completed by 2012 to celebrate the 50 th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (September 5, 1962 – September 5, 2012) and the 30 th year of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (July 18, 1977 – July 18, 2012).
The agreement also focuses on preparations for the construction of President Ho Chi Minh memorial sites in Savannakhet province and the capital city of Vientiane of Laos .
The two sides will also strengthen the exchange of experts, relevant documents and professional experiences in the field, aiming to further promote the Vietnam-Laos friendship relations./.
