The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and Russia ’s ITAR-TASS news agency have agreed to boost their bilateral cooperation to better cater for the demand for information of press agencies in both countries.
The agreement was reached between VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi and his counterpart Sergey Mikhaylov on September 18 during their working session on the sidelines of the 15 th General Assembly of the Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agency (OANA) in Russia .
The effective cooperative ties between the two agencies are reflected through the exchange of information and high-ranking delegations as well as the sharing of experiences in management and IT application, said the VNA leader.
The Russian side affirmed its support to VNA’s bid to run for a seat in the OANA Executive Board in the coming tenure./.
