VNA launches Golden Moment photo contest

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in collaboration with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group launched the seventh press photo contest titled “Khoanh khac vang” (Golden Moment) on October 24 to honour excellent photographers and their press works that capture impressive moments of the country’s development.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in collaboration with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group launched the seventh press photo contest titled “Khoanh khac vang” (Golden Moment) on October 24 to honour excellent photographers and their press works that capture impressive moments of the country’s development.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, VNA General Director Vu Viet Trang expressed her hope that the contest will continue to be a playground that attracts the participation of many journalists and photographers, contributing to the development of the press photography and improvement of the efficiency of the information and popularisation work in the new period.

Through the six previous editions, it gathered and spread the values of diverse quality photographic works, demonstrating the vibrant landscape of the press photography that has developed and better integrated into the global photography, she said.

Entries to this year event should reflect all aspects of life, from politics, diplomacy, economy, and education to technology and environment, showcasing unique and humanitarian perspectives and spotlighting a sense of responsibility towards the country and community.

They must be taken from August 15, 2023, and submitted to the organising board at www.khoanhkhacvang.vn before November 30, 2024.

The award winners will be honoured at a ceremony scheduled in December, with a first prize worth 20 million VND (787 USD), two second prizes of 15 million VND each, three third prizes of 10 million each, and five consolidation prizes of 5 million VND each./.
