The State-run Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the central province of Thanh Hoa have signed a media cooperation agreement for the 2015-2017 period.

Under the deal signed in the locality on December 25, both sides will reciprocally share information, with the VNA to help promote the potential and advantages of Thanh Hoa as well as investment opportunities in the province to the public at home and abroad.

VNA Director General Nguyen Duc Loi, in his speech, said VNA has become a trustworthy and strategic information centre of the Party and State, and a prestigious news agency in the region after nearly 70 years of establishment and development.

Towards the goal of becoming a national media corporation, VNA has developed various media forms, from print and electronic newspapers to television, he said, affirming that the agency’s up-to-date, accurate and mainstream reporting will bring the information about Thanh Hoa to every corner of the country and around the globe.

Secretary of Thanh Hoa provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Trinh Van Chien expressed hope that both sides will build an effective partnership for mutual development.-VNA
