The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group International (VNPT-I) on December 26 inaugurated its representative office in Vientiane, Laos.
The event saw the attendance of Lao Minister of Post and Telecommunication Hiem Phommachan, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Truong Minh Tuan, Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung, and Deputy Chairman of VNPT Nghiem Phu Hoang.
According to the organising board, the opening of the office marks a milestone in the company’s strategy to expand foreign markets.
It also demonstrates the commitment of VNPT and VNPT-I to providing high-quality telecom services for the Lao market as well as affirm their capacity, prestige and position in the Southeast Asian region and the world at large.
Also at the event, VNPT-I signed cooperation agreements with some Lao partners such as Sky Telecom and Planet ISP.-VNA
