VN’s National Day marked in Hong Kong, Belgium

Addressing the function, Vietnamese Consul General Nguyen Thi Nha noted with pleasure the new developments in cooperation between Vietnam and Hong Kong special administrative region.

Hong Kong Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing said Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing ASEAN trading partners to have ties with Hong Kong.

He stated that Hong Kong treasures its friendship and close economic ties with Vietnam, adding that he is hopeful of more literary, academic, business and tourism exchanges between the two sides in the time ahead.

In the January-June period, two-way trade hit 5.7 billion USD, up 7 percent on an annual basis. Bilateral ties have come a long way in culture and education, manifested by visits of delegations seeking partners and sharing experience.
