At their earlier talks, the two officials affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation in the free-of-charge exchange of news, information, digital content, and radio and television programmes relating to culture, history, music and tourism. It is set to broaden and deepen the mutual understanding, friendship, and knowledge between the people of Vietnam and Cuba.

The agreement includes plans to collaborate in the production and co-production of radio and television programmes focusing on culture, history, and tourism, to be broadcast on their respective channels. Exchanges and training for reporters and editors are also part of the agreement.

In a related move, Vietnamese and Cuban journalists shared professional experiences in the digital age at an international seminar co-hosted by the Cuban Journalists’ Association (UPEC) and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association (VJA) in Havana.

The event saw the presence of UPEC President Ricardo Ronquillo and VJA Vice Chairman Tran Trong Dung.
