War veterans from Ukraine welcomed in Hanoi

Dep. Minister of National Defence Truong Quang Khanh received a delegation of Ukrainian war veterans, who are in Vietnam to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lieutenant. Gen. Truong Quang Khanh on August 17 received a delegation of Ukrainian war veterans who are in Vietnam to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).

He reiterated that the Party, State, people and army of Vietnam continuously remember the significant contributions made by the Soviet Union war veterans, including Ukraine’s for Vietnam during its struggles for national independence and reunification.

A representative of the Ukrainian veterans expressed his pleasure to be back to Vietnam as well as his impression at the achievements Vietnam has made in national construction and protection.

The delegation is scheduled to visit the Air Defence - Air Force Service and a number of tourism sites in Vietnam during their stay.-VNA

Vietnam, India enhance defence cooperation

The Deputy Minister suggested that both nations focus on implementing the exchange of delegations, especially high-level ones, and maintaining existing cooperation mechanisms, particularly in training programmes and defence industry collaboration.
