Hanoi (VNA) - Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City police detained Pham Thi Doan Trang in HCM City’s District 3 for “spreading propaganda against the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”.
According to the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi police launched criminal proceedings on October 7 against Trang, 42, whose registered residence is in Dong Da district, Hanoi, for “anti-State propaganda“ as prescribed in Article 88 of the Criminal Code 1999 and “creating, storing, spreading and disseminating information, documents, materials and items for the purpose of opposing the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam”, in line with the Article 117 of the Criminal Code 2015.
The Hanoi People’s Procuracy has approved the decision of Hanoi police.
The case is under further investigation in line with the law./.
Man arrested for spreading anti-State propaganda
Ho Chi Minh City police said on June 13 that they had detained Le Huu Minh Tuan, a resident in central Quang Nam province, for making, storing, spreading information, materials, items for the purpose of opposing the State of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under Article 17 of the Penal Code.
