Work starts on first five-star hotel in Hai Phong

The BRG Group broke ground on April 27 for the first five-star hotel in the port city of Hai Phong.

Coveringan area of 8,300 square metres in the city’s Hong Bang district, theproject has a total investment capital of 2.2 trillion VND (102 millionUSD).

The 22-storey hotel will be operated by the Hilton chain.It will have 240 guest rooms, 34 apartments, and gym and spa facilitiesand two large conference halls.

The project also includes thebuilding of a mall beside the hotel, with 205 high-segment apartmentsand a convergence of boutiques and other retailers selling leadingbrands. There will also be food and beverage outlets and recreationalareas.

It is expected that the project will be completed in 2018.

Currently, the BRG Group is also developing the Do Son Seaside Golf Resort in Hai Phong city.-VNA

First “green lane” durian shipment exported to China

​Under the “green lane” process, quality control begins at the cultivation stage, including soil sampling and monitoring, and continues through harvesting and processing, with traceability labels attached to trees and applied to fruit at the time of picking. It also allows plant quarantine procedures and the issuance of certificates of origin (C/O) directly in the localities where the orchards are located.
