Writing contest on Vietnam-Russia friendship launched

The Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association has launched a writing contest on Vietnam-Russia friendship on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Russia’s October Revolution (November 7, 1917).

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam-Russia FriendshipAssociation under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations has launched awriting contest on Vietnam-Russia friendship on the occasion of the 100thanniversary of Russia’s October Revolution (November 7, 1917).

The contest aims to highlight the significanceand historical role of Russia’s October Revolution to Vietnam’s revolution aswell as deepen the traditional friendship and cooperation between the twocountries.

All Vietnamese and Russian citizens canparticipate in the contest. Entries should be written in Vietnamese and Russianwith no more than 2,000 words and can be attached with photos or audiovisual materials. 

There will be one special prize worth 30 millionVND (1,320 USD), three first prizes, five second prizes, 10 third prize, and 20consolation prizes.

The entries should be submitted between June 19,2017 and March 30, 2018. The prize announcement is slated for June 2018.-VNA

Vietnam’s digital map updates 34 provincial-level administrative units

An 1:1,000,000-scale administrative map of Vietnam online and in digital *.pdf format will be released once the National Assembly’s Resolution on the reorganisation of provincial-level administrative units in 2025 takes effect in oder to promptly support the Prime Minister’s direction and administration, support state management by ministries, sectors, and localities; and meet requirements of organisations and individuals.
