In response to the Government’s efforts to build momentum in the startup industry, millions of Vietnamese women have taken the initiative in starting their own business. In the disadvantaged Duy Tien district, the Red River Delta province of Ha Nam, there lies a successful dairy startup, run by a local female entrepreneur.
Tran Thi Thanh Thoan, born in 1986, first dreamt of opening her own milk branch when she was at university. Thanks to the support of her family and friends, Thoan left Hanoi where she had a stable job in 2014, returning to her hometown in Duy Tien district and starting the biggest adventure of her life.
With her strong determination, Thoan started to build her own dairy farm. As with many startup businesses, it was tough at first.
