The view was shared by Nhan dan Editor-in-Chief Thuan Huu and his Granma counterpart Lazaro Barredo during their working session in Havana.

Mr. Huu led a delegation from Nhan dan newspaper to visit Cuba from November 16-22 with an aim of promoting mutual understanding with Granma newspaper.

The Vietnamese and Cuban journalists spoke of the need for the two newspapers to continue improving themselves to disseminate fully Party and State guidelines and policies to everyone.

During their stay in Cuba, Nhan dan journalists were received by Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers Ricardo Cabrisas and had working sessions with head of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee’s Commission for Ideology Rolando Alfonso and head of the CPC Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Jose Ramon Balaguer.

The Cuban officials affirmed wishes to further strengthen the economic-trade cooperation with Vietnam in order to fully utilize the two countries’ potential and traditional relations.

Mr. Huu affirmed the Vietnamese Government and people’s support and faithful sentiments to Cuba in its course of protecting the gained revolutionary fruits and updating its economic model.

The Vietnam-Cuba traditional friendship is an invaluable asset that needs to be continuously fostered and consolidated by the two peoples, especially young generations, he said.

The Vietnamese journalists also met with the leaders of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association and the Union of Journalists of Cuba (UPEC) as well as visited central Sancti Spiritus and Villa Clara provinces.-VNA
