Party official: Vietnam supports democracy process in Venezuela

Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong has affirmed the Vietnamese Party and State’s consistent policy of supporting democracy process in Venezuela.

Hanoi (VNA) – Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong has affirmed the Vietnamese Party and State’s consistent policy of supporting democracy process in Venezuela. 

During a reception in Hanoi on October 26 for Vice President in charge of economic affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) Jesus Faria, Vuong thanked progressive forces and people of Venezuela for providing support for Vietnam in the past national liberation and development at current. 

He expressed his belief that under the leadership of the PSUV President and State President Nicolas Maduro, the Venezuelan people will overcome difficulties and successfully follow the testament of the late President Hugo Chavez. 

Faria wished that Vietnam would share its experience in socio-economic development with Venezuela, affirming that the PSUV and State of Venezuela want to strengthen solidarity and traditional friendship with Vietnam, towards pushing forward the practical and effective development of bilateral comprehensive partnership, especially in economy, trade and investment. 

Earlier, Faria held talks with deputy head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Ngo Van Tuan, held working sessions with former Secretary of the Party Central Committee and former Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan, and representatives of the National Assembly’s Committee on External Relations, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the State Bank of Vietnam and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group. 

He also took the occasion to visit several socio-economic establishments in Hanoi and the northern province of Quang Ninh.-VNA
