Hanoi (VNA) - The World Economic Forum on ASEAN 2017 (WEF ASEAN 2017), slated for next week in Phnom Penh, is expected to further promote sustainable development, peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
According to the Cambodian Foreign Ministry, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith, representatives of heads of state/government and ministers from across the Asia-Pacific region will be also present.
This year’s agenda will focus on how the region's expanding young and dynamic workforces can be engaged in ways that build the brightest future for the region, giving Cambodia a chance to raise its international profile.
WEF was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The forum holds annual meetings in Davos, Switzerland, but also convenes regional meetings each year across Africa, Europe, Latin America and ASEAN.
