10 years since Trang An Landscape Complex recognised as world heritage
The Trang An Landscape Complex in Ninh Binh province was recognised by UNESCO in 2014 as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site. It was the first-ever mixed heritage site in Vietnam and Southeast Asia to gain such recognition.

The Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, located at the southern edge of the Red River Delta in Ninh Binh province, comprises three protected areas: the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, the Trang An - Tam Coc - Bich Dong Scenic Landscape, and the Hoa Lu Special-Use Forest. Recognised by UNESCO in 2014, it is the first mixed cultural and natural heritage site in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
A ceremony was held in the northern province of Ninh Binh on April 26 evening to celebrate the 10th anniversary of UNESCO's recognition of Trang An Landscape Complex as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site.
The Trang An Festival 2024 themed “Visiting Trang An Heritage Region 2024" kicked off at the Trang An Landscape Complex in the northern province of Ninh Binh on April 26, attracting thousands of visitors.
An online exhibition featuring the Trang An Landscape Complex in Vietnam’s northern Ninh Binh province was launched on Google Arts & Culture on April 18 by the complex's management board with the support of Google Arts & Culture and UNESCO World Heritage Centre.
