As many as 1,200 soldiers, polices and local residents will participate in a rescue and climate change adaptation rehearsal to be held in Tien Hai district, northern Thai Binh province on Dec. 2.
Co-organised by the Ministry of Public Security and the Thai Binh provincial People’s Committee, the rehearsal aims to raise awareness, responsibility and flexibility of the authorities and people in dealing with situations caused by climate change and sea level rise.
Fifty coastal cities and provinces from Binh Dinh northwards will observe this rehearsal.
According to the steering board of the rehearsal, the event is part of activities to realise a national target programme on responding to climate change and sea level rise./.
