13th Vietnamese Students’ Day in RoK held

More than 1,000 Vietnamese students across the Republic of Korea (RoK) came together for the 13th Vietnamese Students’ Day on November 19 at Seoul University.

Seoul (VNA) – More than 1,000Vietnamese students across the Republic of Korea (RoK) came together for the 13th Vietnamese Student Day on November 19 at Seoul University.

Speaking at the event, Deputy ForeignMinister Vu Hong Nam, head of the National Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, applaudedprogrammes initiated by the Vietnam Students Association in Korea (VSAK) to contributeto the homeland, such as fund-raising activities to assist disaster-hitvictims.

He expressed his hope that events like theVietnamese Student Day will be held regularly to help promote Vietnam’sculture to international friends.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen VuTu lauded the efforts of Vietnamese students in the RoK, believing that theywill continue contributing to Vietnam’s nation building and safeguarding andact as a bridge helping develop Vietnam-RoK relations.

The Vietnamese Student Day is heldannually by the VSAK, aiming to promote Vietnam’s culture and to tightenbilateral ties.

Art performances praising the beauty ofVietnam’s land and people took place during the event, together with differentfolk games.

Currently, there are about 15,000 Vietnamesestudents in the RoK.-VNA

Vietnam-Germany cooperation strengthened in educational publishing

Khanh Hoa aims at lifting EC ‘yellow card’, sustainable fisheries

According to the department, as of the end of June, 99.9% of eligible fishing vessels in the province had been issued fishing licences, while 100% of vessels measuring 15 metres or more had been fitted with vessel monitoring system (VMS) devices and all vessels had been marked and numbered in accordance with regulations.

Vietnam eyes global network of overseas Vietnamese experts in strategic technologies

In recent years, networks of OV experts and intellectuals have been established, with nearly 2,000 members. Five innovation and expert networks have also been formed in strategic technology areas such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum technology, cybersecurity, aviation, aerospace and unmanned aerial vehicles, connecting around 50 expert and intellectual associations overseas.

Dong Thap tightens fishing vessel management
