Hanoi (VNA) – National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue assessed that inthe first six working days of its second session, the National Assembly (NA) hadbasically completed the proposed programme.

Hemade the statement while chairing a meeting on works done in the first week ofthe session held in Hanoi on October 25.

Themeeting agenda was arranged in a reasonable and scientific manner, making themost of time, regarding both group and online discussions, and ensuring the principlesof democracy in the activities of the NA, Hue said.

Duringthe remaining time of the online session, the NA will discuss the economicrestructuring plan for 2021-2025, the national planning for land use for 2021-2030,with a vision to 2050, among others. These are all important issues for thesustainable development of the country, ensuring the social security in thecoming time, the top legislator noted.

TheNA Chairman emphasised that it is necessary to further promote the good works andlearn from the things that have not been done well in the first six days to betterorganise the session.

Nationalpolicy and people's livelihood issues discussed, considered and decided by the NAneed to be fully, promptly, and comprehensively informed to voters and thepeople, he said, recommending related parliamentary agencies be more proactivein providing information to the press.

Healso requested tightening the work of ensuring safety and epidemic preventionand control during the event./.
