200 tonnes of rice allocated to aid typhoon-hit localities

The General Department of State Reserves has decided to allocate 100 tonnes of rice each to the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Public Security to support localities affected by Typhoon Yagi.

Hanoi (VNA) – The General Department of State Reserves has decided to allocate 100 tonnes of rice each to the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Public Security to support localities affected by Typhoon Yagi.

The work will be completed before September 12, it said.

The typhoon and its subsequent torrential rains, floods, landslides, and bridge collapse have left 146 people dead or missing as of 13:00 on September 10. It is the third to have come to the East Sea so far this year./.
