Of that figure, full time high school studentsaccount for 856,271 and the remaining 107,300 students arecontinuing-education students, according to Ngo Kim Khoi, head of theministry’s Education Testing and Quality Assessment Department.
The number of students taking exams fell by 8.5 percent compared with last year’s figures, he said.
Full-time students will take exams on six subjects, includingliterature, chemistry, geography, history, mathematics and foreignlanguage.
Students can choose English, Russian, French, Chinese, German and Japanese for foreign-language subjects.
Students who attend high school part-time or in the evening will take a physics exam instead of a foreign language exam.
The ministry has asked localities to carefully check preparations for the coming examinations.-VNA
