ACC-Venezuela ties highlighted

The event is co-hosted bythe ASEAN Committee in Caracas (ACC) that groups the three above-saidSoutheast Asian countries, and the host Foreign Ministry.

Before the start of the event, participants observed a minute ofsilence in memory of Vietnamese General Vo Nguyen Giap, who passed awayon October 4.

Forty-five pictures on show feature a dynamic ASEAN that is accelerating the establishment of an ASEAN Community by 2015.

The week-long event aims to enhance the relations, friendship andmutual understanding between ASEAN member countries, especially thosefrom the ACC, and Venezuela, said Vietnamese Ambassador to VenezuelaNgo Tien Dung.

He further said that the bloc hopesto further develop multi-faceted cooperative ties with Venezuela andthe Common Market of the South (MERCOSUR) chaired by the country.

Deputy Chairwoman of the Cultural Association under the VenezuelanForeign Ministry Elena Gil spoke highly of the close traditionalfriendship between the ACC and Venezuela, saying that she hopes bothsides will intensify their links in culture, arts, and tourism.-VNA

At the Thai Festival, from March 28 night to March 30 morning in Hanoi, visitors explored typical Thai dishes, along with health care and beauty care products and traditional handicrafts.
