ADB helps with irrigation development project

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has recently ratified a technical assistance project worth 1 million USD to develop irrigation systems in the central and northeastern Red River Delta region.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has recently ratified a technicalassistance project worth 1 million USD to develop irrigation systems inthe central and northeastern Red River Delta region.

Of the total investment, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will offer 800,000 USD in non-refundable aid.

The Prime Minister has assigned the State Bank of Vietnam to workwith the ADB to sign an agreement on the technical assistance project,while the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is tasked tofinalise related documents and partner with localities to deploy theproject.

The two-year project will be implemented in the four provinces of Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc and Phu Tho. /.

Ministry proposes seven-day 2027 Lunar New Year holiday

Under the Ministry of Home Affairs' proposal, civil servants and public employees in Vietnam would receive five statutory days off, including two days before and three days after the Lunar New Year.
