-  Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinhattended a meeting in the northern province of Dien Bien on April 17 withveteran soldiers, young volunteers and frontline workers who directlyparticipated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign in 1954.

Highlighting the significance of the Dien Bien PhuCampaign, PM Chinh underlined that with the promotion of the great nationalsolidarity and strong will, the Party led Vietnamese soldiers and people to theDien Bien Phu Victory, a decisive victory that foiled the invasion intentionsof imperialist and colonial forces, helping the revolutionary forces gain agreat advantage at the negotiation table for the Geneva Agreement, and openingup a glorious new page for the Vietnamese revolution.Read full text

- The northeastern province of Quang Ninhagain secured its top place in the Public Administrative Reform (PAR) Indexranking in 2023 which was announced by the Government’s Steering Committee forAdministrative Reform on April 17.

This was the 12th year in a row the Ministry ofHome Affairs compiled the index that evaluates performance of the 63 cities andprovinces, as well as 17 ministries and ministerial-level agencies.Read full text

- Vietnamese citizens had greatersatisfaction with the administrative services provided by State agencies lastyear, according to the Satisfaction Index of Public Administration Services(SIPAS) 2023 announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) on April 17.

Director of the MoHA’s Department forAdministrative Reform Pham Minh Hung said the nation’s average satisfactionlevel in 2023 was 82.66%, compared to the 80.08% in the previous year.Read full text

Lawmakers discuss facilitation of acquiring, regaining Vietnamese nationality

The draft Law on amendments and supplements to certain articles of the Law on Vietnamese Nationality consists of three articles, focusing on two major policies, including the relaxation of conditions related to acquiring Vietnamese nationality for individuals whose biological father, mother, paternal grandparents, or maternal grandparents are Vietnamese citizens.

Vietnamese Party leader receives Thai Prime Minister

Vietnam, Senegal enhance cooperation across key sectors

In the first four months of 2025, Vietnam’s exports to Senegal stood at 43.43 million USD, nearly equalling the total for 2024 (43.91 million USD). Vietnam mainly exports rice, pepper, agricultural products, and components, while its imports from Senegal include raw cashew nuts, fishmeal, seafood, and cotton.
