-Onthe occasion of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's birthday on April14, leaders of countries and political parties including those from Laos,China, Cuba, Russia, Belarus, and Dominica, have sent letters and messages ofcongratulations to the Vietnamese Party chief.
Theleaders of countries and political parties congratulated Vietnam on itsoutstanding achievements in national construction and development under theleadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Trong. - NationalAssembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on April 16 said that Vietnam alwaysvalues and wishes to strengthen multifaceted cooperation with Hungary, atraditional partner and the only comprehensive partner of Vietnam in theCentral Eastern European region when receiving First Officer of the HungarianNational Assembly Márta Mátrai in Hanoi.

Speakingat the reception, Hue appreciated the fifth legislative conference on the roleof the parliament in supreme supervision of bilateral cooperation agreementsbetween Vietnam and Hungary held earlier the same day in Hanoi, during which,NA Vice Chairman Tran Quang Phuong and Márta Mátrai reached consensus on manyimportant issues, particularly those on cooperation between the two countries’legislatures.Read full text
- National Assembly Vice Chairman TranQuang Phuong and First Officer of the Hungarian National Assembly Márta Mátraico-chaired the fifth legislative conference on strengthening parliamentarysupervision of bilateral cooperation agreements between the two countries, inHanoi on April 16.

Bothsides highlighted parliamentary cooperation as a bright spot in the twocountries' overall relationship, adding that the cooperation agreement signedby the two legislatures last June has laid an important foundation to furtherdeepen parliamentary ties, which is also instrumental in fostering politicaltrust and mutual understanding. -Aceremony to repatriate two sets of remains believed to be of US soldier listedas missing in action (MIA) from the war in Vietnam was held at the Da NangInternational Airport in the central city of Da Nang on April 16.
The remains were found as the result of the 154thjoint field activity which lasted from February to April 2024. Vietnameseforensic specialists examined the remains and determined that they might belongto US MIAs from the war in Vietnam.Read full text
