- Chinese Premier Li Qiang chaired an official welcome ceremony for VietnamesePrime Minister Pham Minh Chinh who is on an official visit to the country. Afterthe welcome ceremony, the two government leaders held talks. Read full story

- Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and his Chinese counterpart Qin Gang discussedmeasures to further promote the relations between the Parties and States ofVietnam and China during their meeting in Beijing on June 25.

Son, who is accompanying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on an official visit toChina, underlined that Vietnam attaches great importance to developing thecomprehensive strategic cooperative partnership with China, which is a toppriority in Vietnam’s external policy of independence, self-reliance,multilateralisation and diversification of foreign relations. - President of the Swiss National Council Martin Candinas’s official visit toVietnam from June 27-30 is to strengthen the good cooperation between the twocountries, and consolidate the good relationship between their two legislativebodies, Swiss Ambassador Thomas Gass told the Vietnam News Agency on the thresholdof the visit. - Officials of Vietnam and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM)have voiced support for stronger cooperation in ASEAN to improve the access ofmigrants, especially transboundary ones, to healthcare services.

An international conference was held in Hanoi on June 26 by the VietnameseMinistry of Health and the ASEAN Secretariat with support from the IOM and theWorld Health Organisation (WHO). - The sabotage arguments by hostile forces, the “bullets” intended to drive awedge into the great national solidarity, failed to pierce through the firmshield of the truth and people’s solidarity.

The armed attacks on the headquarters of the People’s Committees of Ea Tieu andEa Ktur communes of Cu Kuin district, the Central Highlands province Dak Lak,early on June 11 caused heavy human losses and negatively affected localsecurity and order. - The Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA) will host the 2023Asia-Pacific Regional Annual Meeting of the International Federation of FreightForwarders Associations (FIATA) and the mid-year meeting of the ASEAN FreightForwarders Association (AFFA) in the central city of Da Nang from July 13 to15.

The event provides opportunities for Vietnamese logistics and export companiesto meet and exchange experiences with world partners in the development oflogistics services in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Read full story

Doosan Enerbility company has signed agreements with three companies operatingthermal power plants in Vietnam to promote an environmentally friendly fuelconversion project. Resolution opens up development space, creates new momentum for regional growth

Resolution No. 27 on regional development and the organisation of national development space in the new period places regional development as a means of organising national growth and a tool for reorganising development space, allocating resources and enhancing competitiveness. This takes on particular significance following the restructuring of administrative units, as the expanded scale of many localities creates better conditions for integrating urban, industrial, agricultural, maritime, border-gate and logistics spaces.

Vietnamese NA President experiences Mongolian traditional culture

NA President Man, his spouse and the Vietnamese delegation attended a mini Naadam Festival, which recreated Mongolia's largest and oldest traditional festival and a source of pride for the Mongolian people. The Naadam Festival was inscribed by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Vietnam, France seek to deepen defence cooperation

Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence General Phan Van Giang said Vietnam-France defence ties have continued to grow, with cooperation expanding in various areas, including high-level delegation exchanges; the deputy-minister-level strategic dialogue and defence cooperation mechanism; military medicine; education and training; search and rescue; UN peacekeeping operations; maritime cooperation; and defence industry.

Vietnam and France need to make full use of their respective strengths, capitalise on their complementary advantages, elevate strategic areas of cooperation to a higher level, and establish new frameworks for bilateral cooperation, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and President To Lam suggested.

Top Vietnamese leader meets with French Prime Minister

The two leaders agreed to actively exchange all-level delegations, soon establish new cooperation mechanisms commensurate with the level of bilateral ties, and effectively implement the Vietnam-France Action Plan for 2026-2028. They concurred to continue strengthening cooperation in defence and security, United Nations peacekeeping operations, and in preventing and combating organised transnational crime, among other areas.
