Hanoi (VNA) - The following is a brief review of the day’s events as reported by the Vietnam News Agency.

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed a document requesting more efforts to promote the development of and remove obstacles to the real estate market.

He asked ministries, agencies and People’s Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to strictly follow  the Government’s resolution dated March 11, 2023 on several measures to solve difficulties for and promote the safe, healthy and sustainable development of the market. Read full story

- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has signed a dispatch on the cancellation of World Bank (WB) loans due to the unusability, and the re-allocation and use of the cancelled International Development Association (IDA) loans in the 2022 - 2023 fiscal year. Read full story

- Hoang Duc Cuong, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Meteorological and Hydrological Administration (VNMHA) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, highlighted the important role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of hydrometeorology, while speaking at a webinar held by the VNMHA on March 28. - Deputy Minister of Finance Do Thanh Hung is leading a Vietnamese delegation to the ASEAN Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors' Meeting (AFMGM) and related meetings, which opened in Bali, Indonesia on March 28.

The four-day AFMGM comprises 24 meetings, including those at the ministerial and deputy ministerial levels, and sideline meetings themed “Exploring Indonesia” to introduce and promote the culture of Sulawesi and Kalimantan regions, and introduce tourism potential of Indonesia. Read full story

- The People's Council of Da Nang city has just approved a resolution on the city Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 which will be soon submitted to the government for approval.

Accordingly, by 2030, the city expects to achieve an average annual economic growth rate of 9.5-10% and a gross regional domestic product (GRDP) per capita of about 200-220 million VND (8,500 – 9,350 USD) per person. Read full story

- The consumer price index (CPI) in the first quarter of 2023 is estimated to rise 4.2 - 4.3% year on year, according to the Price Management Department under the Ministry of Finance. Read full story

- Increasing foreign investment is expected to come to industrial, logistics properties in Vietnam, pushing the growth of the sector. according to insiders.

The largest-ever US business mission to Vietnam including 52 businesses visited Vietnam from March 21-23 to learn about the local market and seek investment opportunities. Most of the firms in the mission have business and production activities in Vietnam. Read full story

- Phu Quoc island city in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors in the first quarter of 2023, a rise of 43.4% year on year, fulfilling 25.9% of its yearly target. Read full story

- Five caves were recently discovered in Lam Hoa commune of Tuyen Hoa district in the central province of Quang Binh by experts of the British Royal Cave Association.

Running for a total length of 3,349m, the caves also feature underground rivers which are completely pristine. They have duly been named Hung Tru 1, Hung Tru 2, Hung Tru 3, Hung Ka Vong 1, and Hung Ka Vong 2. Read full story./.
