Airlines adjust flights to Japan due to typhoon Trami

Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific Airlines have adjusted schedules of flights to and from Japan’s Osaka International Airport due to its closure over the impact of typhoon Trami.

Hanoi (VNA) –Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific Airlines have adjusted schedules offlights to and from Japan’s Osaka International Airport due to its closure overthe impact of typhoon Trami.

The airport said it will close a numberof runways from 11:00 on September 30 to 6:00 on October 1 (Japan time).

As a result, Vietnam Airlines’flights from Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City to Osaka (VN330, VN320) and from Hanoi toNagoya (VN346) on September 30 early morning will depart later at 23:30 on thesame day.

A similar situation faces itsSeptember 30 flights from Osaka to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (VN331, VN321)and from Nagoya to Hanoi (VN347), with their new departure times scheduled tobe after 9:00 on October 1 (Japan time).

Vietnam Airlines will cancel twoflights between Ho Chi Minh City and Nagoya on September 30 (VN340 and VN341).Affected passengers can exchange their tickets for free for other flights onthe next day.   

Jetstar Pacific Airlines willcancell its Da Nang – Osaka and Osaka – Hanoi flights (BL164, BL621) onSeptember 30.

The two airlines are closelyfollowing the storm’s developments to come up with prompt flight time changesto ensure passengers’ safety with minimum impacts on their travelling.

Tien Giang steps up efforts to eliminate substandard houses

According to the Tien Giang People’s Committee, 485 homes for policy beneficiaries, families of war martyrs, and low-income households will be supported. Of these, 284 new homes will be built, and 201 existing ones repaired, with a total budget of 24.1 billion VND (about 984,000 USD). As of March 6, construction had started on 166 houses, with 32 already completed.

Bac Giang to eliminate substandard houses by November

Local authorities have identified 795 homes of poor and near-poor households and individuals with recognised service to the nation that qualify for support. Of these, 475 require complete reconstruction and 320 need significant repairs, with estimated costs totaling 39 billion VND (1.53 million USD).
