Various media agencies and newspapers in Algeria have praised late President Ho Chi Minh’s morality and thoughts as well as his contributions to Vietnam’s national liberation and reunification, and liberation movements across the world.

Algiers (VNA) – Various media agencies and newspapers in Algeria have praisedlate President Ho Chi Minh’s morality and thoughts as well as his contributionsto Vietnam’s national liberation and reunification, and liberation movementsacross the world.

Algeriannews agency APS has run an article highlighting the former leader’s patriotismand cited a list of the most 100 outstanding people of the 20th century by the US’s The Times in December 1999, on which the VietnamesePresident was named in the top 20.

Apartfrom colonised nations, he also focused on disadvantaged groups around theworld, the article said, adding that the President highly valued intellectualsand had a dedicated network from different political trends both at home andabroad.

Elmoudjahidnewspaper also published an article on the occasion, saying he was the founderof the Vietnamese revolution and a symbol of the anti-colonialism movement.

ThePresident used his talents, culture and thoughts to serve the struggles ofoppressed nations worldwide, it said.

Inan article published in Tribune-diplomatique-internationale newspaper, authorLarab said President Ho Chi Minh fought against the colonialists and illiteracyand for human rights.

AllAlgerians remember the President and other Vietnamese heroes like General VoNguyen Giap and Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh.

Algerie360site also ran an article saying President Ho Chi Minh passed down a moral andpolitical sense of responsibility to the Vietnamese people and humankind.

To accommodate surging travel demand and keep transport operations running smoothly, the PM instructed relevant bodies to boost transport capacity, particularly public passenger services, to ensure seamless connections at railway stations, airports, bus terminals and ferry ports. Authorities were told to ensure that no travellers are left stranded or delayed in returning home for Tet due to a shortage of transport, while strictly preventing fare gouging and unlawful price hikes. Proactive measures to curb traffic accidents and congestion during the peak holiday period were also highlighted.
